Blogging Potential

I am still, like many of my classmates in the graduate program I am a member of, unsure how blogs can be used in my teaching practices. This seems to be especially perplexing to my peers who teach primary grades. Many would like to see examples. With this in mind I attempted to goggle for various educational/classroom examples. I was successful with this approach and I found various examples I would like to share with my peers. Unfortunately I will need to complete the search again in order to include some links to the examples I found interesting. Richardson shares his beliefs of what "is" or "is not" a blog, but when you did the search like I have described I seemed to encounter some examples Richardson would not necessarily categorize as a blog. Look for links to examples of blogs used for educational purposes in my next posting. I think the most important thing we can do to explore the idea of blogs and education is to approach our investigations with a very opened mind. I think through our discussions and personal investigations we will find many potential options students will willingly "buy into".
